Outside Sales Account Executive (Independent Contractor)
 
POSITION SUMMARY
 
The Account Executive (Independent Contractor) has the responsibility for prospecting and closing new business with (but not limited to) Insurance Agents, Financial Planners, Estate Planners, Funeral Homes, US Recruiting offices, Public Safety Officers, Hospitals, etc.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
 
  • Prospect and offer our services to establish wholesale accounts and retail clients
  • Deliver clear/compelling on the phone and face-to-face presentations
  • Explain with conviction how this service will bring value to a retail client or wholesale account
  • Manage/update accounts and maintain customer relationships
  • Represent company at occasional trade show or convention
 
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
 
  • Results/success oriented individual able to proactively establish and maintain effective relationships within departments
  • High energy level with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aggressive self-starter with the aptitude to follow through on commitments and goals
  • An ability to show empathy and an understanding of funeral etiquette  
 
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in direct sales/account management in a professional industry
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet)
  • Experience working with complex, sophisticated enterprise clients
  • Advanced negotiation, organization, verbal and written communication skills
  • Successful and proven track record of meeting and achieving quota assignment
